After graduating from Baylor Law School in 2010, David Mead opened his own solo probate, guardianship, and estate planning practice — establishing from the outset a dedication to compassionate, community-focused legal service. His commitment to the profession and his clients quickly earned him recognition: he was selected to serve as a member of the Dallas Bar Association Probate Council and has served as co-chairperson for the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Elder Law Committee.
David is deeply invested in serving North Texas communities. He volunteers as an attorney for The Senior Source, serves on its Advisory Committee for the Guardianship Program, and has been appointed by North Texas courts to serve as administrator, guardian, trustee, receiver, attorney ad litem, and guardian ad litem — roles that reflect the trust courts and clients place in his judgment and integrity. As Chairman of the DBA Probate, Trusts & Estates Section in 2022–2023, he helped shape the direction of probate law in Dallas.
Before law school, David spent time in the marine transportation industry, including piloting a ship through Gatun Lake on the Panama Canal. In his personal time, he enjoys fishing, camping, and studying the history of the WWII Pacific Theater.
